CRN launches the megayacht CRN 130 60 metres

March 26, 2011

Ancona, 26th March 2011 - CRN, shipyard and brand of the Ferretti Group, privately launched the CRN 130, a 60 metre steel and aluminium megayacht, in Ancona.

The owner's family, the management and the workers of CRN, who celebrated the completion of the seventh pleasure ship of 60 metres produced since 2005, were present at the shipyard. This is an important achievement in this particular market.

Lamberto Tacoli, Chairman of CRN S.p.A. and Chief Sales & Marketing Officer of the Ferretti Group, who took part in the ceremony, spoke about the future plans of the shipyard: "CRN intends to continue its policy of maximum attention to detail, productivity, flexibility and customer care. I would like to thank all the workers once again and our team who have enabled us to realize this new target. Now naturally we are looking to the future: the shipyard is in full production. We have another 6 ships under construction and the next deliveries should take place within the next few months".

Today's launch follows that of "Lady Trudy" last Tuesday, a composite displacement Navetta of 43 metres, the seventh hull of the Navetta 43, and thus concludes an important week for the Ferretti Group.

At the moment the CRN shipyard is constructing 8 pleasure ships with the CRN brand: 5 steel and aluminium ships (CRN 129 80 metres, CRN 125 58 metres, CRN 130 60 metres and 133 60 metres, CRN 128 60 metres at the quay to be delivered in spring) and 3 composite mega yachts (two 43 metre displacement Navette and a 40 metre semi-planing CRN 128'), as well as 7 yachts with the brand Custom Line, reflecting the continuous growth of the CRN shipyard, which is constantly evolving.

The elongated streamlined profile and the imposing cream-coloured hull (the photo shows the hull covered by a protective film maintained until delivery) strongly characterize this 60 metre leisure boat, hull number 130 of the shipyard, made of steel and aluminium, and commissioned from CRN by a European ship owner.

The slim and sleet bow and the imposing volumes with wide spaces overlooking the sea characterize this mega yacht, whose external lines bear the signature of Zuccon International Project Studio, which worked in close collaboration with the technical office of CRN, while the interior design was taken care of by the architects Alexandre and Cristina Negoescu.

Hull 130 was built on a naval platform of 10.20 metres, the same used for other famous boats such as the CRN 126 "Blue Eyes" and CRN 128, both of 60 metres. The same philosophy and technological innovations are found in the open spaces that distinguish CRN: the terrace in the master cabin and the beach club at the stern and the stern hatch that turns into a big beach close to the water which will be equipped as a solarium.

The Zuccon International Project designers created the megayacht with great attention to spatial quality, making it elegant, timeless, and thus increasing its value for both the owner and the shipyard.

Circular patterns prevail in the interior design, giving it a new image of on board comfort, with fluid spaces, which open up and extend to all the other areas. There is also a minimal style and an art deco spirit that fuse with elegance and sophistication, representing "modern style".

Its minimalist décor, its monochromatic interiors and its sinuous forms, create a new contemporary habitat of extreme pleasure.

The new vessel can accommodate 12 guests in 5 guest cabins, the master cabin and 14 crew members.
The yacht is equipped with two CATERPILLAR 3512B-Chp 1'455 kW@1835 rpm engines that cruise at a maximum speed of 15 knots and a cruising speed of 14 knots.

This mega yacht further highlights CRN's care and attention to detail and design, tipically Italian.
