Design and Craftsmanship on the 43-metre "Rubeccan"
The third hull of the new CRN 43 composite line

"Rubeccan", is a displacement-design maxi-yacht that can easily accommodate 10 passengers and 9 crewmembers.
Built as a joint effort involving the CRN technical staff and the Zuccon International Project Firm, which handled the external layout, the interior furnishings and decorative scheme of this 43-metre vessel feature a distinctive personality, having been masterfully studied by the Design Office to meet the needs of the yacht's owner, who already has another vessel, a 35-metre yacht, built by the shipyard.
Discrete, natural colours characterise the stylistic choices, together with the use of exquisite materials, including the textiles, all manufactured by the renowned Italian label Loro Piana. The curtains, the carpeting, the upholstery are all crafted from noble fibres to ensure maximum resistance, as well as the utmost in comfort, lightness and softness.
As is true with all the CRN 43 hulls, light is the key element in the ship's architecture, thanks not only to the abundance of generously sized windows, but also the two types of fine woods used. The warm hues of walnut, in a typically naval style, adorn the furniture and panelling in the lower portion of the vessel, while lighter-hued, more luminous stripped oak was chosen for the upper portion of the structural facings in the two lounges.
The "Rubeccan" reprises a number of the features favoured by owners of other CRN ships. The Technogym workout room and sauna in the forward portion of the lower deck combine to form a fitness and wellness area tied directly to the sea, thanks to a beach platform created by lowering the aft hatch nearly flush with the water. The balcony of the owner's suite, another must feature, is furnished with comfortable armchairs and a coffee table, making it an ideal site for exclusive breakfasts by the sea.
The interior furnishings, a combination of high-fashion designer materials and artfully crafted decors, make for an ambience of refined, modern taste.
Designed by the CRN staff and built by mater artisans as a single piece, the relaxation area on the main deck features a sofa with a uniquely original form. The traditional "L" module is wed to a chaise lounge that offers seating space to the rear, taking advantage of the area found in front of the bookshelf of the central wall. A single decorative arrangement offers various points of view for taking in the same setting, guaranteeing the best possible use of the space. The refined fabrics of Loro Piana, in shades of sand and amber, line the leather base of this multifaceted sofa. In addition to a dining room with a glass table, the main deck holds a professionally outfitted kitchen and the owner's suite, as well as a roomy study. Guests are housed in four cabins with double beds on the lower deck, whose forward portion holds the crew's quarters.

The engine room is found in the aft portion of the lower deck, where its two CATERPILLAR C32-C engines power the ship at a maximum speed of 15.5 knots and at a cruising speed of 13 knots. The navigating comfort and pleasure offered by these performance levels is further enhanced by the installation of 7 MITSUBISHI ARG MSM-5000 stabilisers.
The captain's cabin, located on the upper deck, behind the wheelhouse, is equipped with the most advanced onboard instrumentation available.
The upper deck is reached by taking the indoor stairway from the lobby or the outdoor stairs that connect the two well areas. The panoramic lounge on the upper deck has a comfortable relaxation zone furnished with sofas designed in a modern style featuring elegant right angles. The entire setting is bounded by elegant Venetian blinds made of wood and able to filter the intensity of the light, creating intimately charming effects in combination with pleasurable shadows. This conversation zone also comes with a mobile bar topped off by a glass sculpture created by a master craftsman on the Island of Murano.
The desire for relaxation and comfort is also met on the sundeck, equipped in its forward portion with a Jacuzzi tub surrounded by luxuriant cushions and semicircular sofas, while the aft portion features lounge chairs for taking the sun, a dining table, a barbecue and a bar covered by a roll-bar.

A NEW CHRISTENING FOR CRN
THE 60-METRE "BLUE EYES" MEGA-YACHT

A new launching ceremony at the CRN shipyard, held on Saturday, May 9th, saw a flurry of blue confetti rain down on the 60-metre "Blue Eyes", hull number 126 of the Ancona shipyard. The inspiring ceremony, open to all the people of the city, took place against the charming backdrop of a warm spring sunset.

More than a thousand admirers were able to get an up-close look at the resplendent blue hull of BLUE EYES. Numerous well known Italian business figures were on hand to witness the moment in person, including Brunello Cucinelli, Ettore Riello, Colaiacovo and Zeno Soave, not to mention the fashion designer Alberta Ferretti, as well as Ancona's top city officials.

The Castelferretti municipal band began playing around 6:00 pm, as the ceremony got underway with opening remarks from Norberto Ferretti, President of Ferretti S.p.A.: "All launches are thrilling, special events, which is why I always invite my friends to be on hand. There is always that moment of high suspense, as the ship slides down into the water all by itself, and all we can do is wait. This has definitely been a challenging year for our industry and our company - noted the President - but things are already starting to look up, which gives us all the more reason to celebrate. Add in the fact that the owner of this new boat is a friend, and an Italian, and we all have reason to be immensely proud" . Following the highly flattering words of the representative of the Yacht Owners Society, who remembered back to the highly satisfying period of the boat's construction, up to and including the magical moment of the launch, CRN President Lamberto Tacoli stepped up to the microphone. Stressing that "If we continue to focus our every effort on the Product and the Client, we can definitely look forward to a positive, successful future", he also offered his best wishes to Ancona's new municipal administration, expressing his confidence that it will succeed in organising "A working table able to generate wise, fruitful results". After thanking the owners for the vote of confidence given to the shipyard three years ago, Mr. Tacoli read the words of a poem written by a CRN worker, in a special tribute to those who worked on the boat with the love and passion needed to bring to life such a stupendous result.

The benediction of the ship was the final act in the official celebration, followed by the classic breaking of the bottle, after which "Blue Eyes" slid gently into the water to the stirring notes of Turandot.

The event was topped off by a cocktail party for invited guests on the CRN wharf, to the refined accompaniment of live jazz music.

With its rakish, flowing bow, its impressively sized interior spaces and its extensive surface area perched over the sea, "BLUE EYES" is a steel and aluminium mega-yacht born of a joint collaboration between the CRN shipyard and the Zuccon International Project firm, which designed the exterior, while the interior design was handled by the Fabrizio Smania company.

A major innovation is the aft area of the lower deck, meant to function as a full-fledged beach club, with the stern hatch lowering nearly flush to the water, where it can be equipped with comfortable sun lounges to create an ideal solarium. Connected to this area is an indoor relaxation zone where guests can enjoy being close to the sea while relaxing on comfortable sofas in the shade.
Another distinctive feature of the ship is the balcony of the owner's suite, designed to be nothing less than a terrace on the sea, thanks to a hatch that can be lowered 90 degrees. A strongpoint of CRN mega-yacht design, and one of the custom features most frequently requested by owners, the owner's balcony is a major innovation that has quickly become an established  tradition.

CRN LAUNCHES "SOFICO", A 43-METRE MAXI-YACHT

This morning another new vessel was launched by the CRN shipyard, which baptised the fourth maxi-yacht of the CRN 43 composite line during a private ceremony for the owner and his guests.

"Sofico" is a dislocation-design, caramel-colour maxi-yacht with a length of 43 metres and a width of 8.6, capable of navigating the seas in complete comfort, at a maximum speed of 15.5 knots and a cruising speed of 13 knots. Inside, the ship easily houses 10 passengers and 9 crewmembers.
The launching ceremony, an intimate but exciting affair, featured the traditional breaking of the bottle moments before the ship slid into the water. The thrill was heightened by the notes of the celebrated aria from "Turandot", as well as the hearty applause of those present.

Designed in a joint effort by the technical staff of CRN and the Zuccon International Project Firm, the vessel comes with four decks and a bulbous hull, having been built entirely in the Ancona shipyard: from the creation of the moulds and the subsequent lamination of the hull, all the way to the decorative work and the finishing touches on the décor. The entire production process took place under the direct control of the CRN, guaranteeing the quality and reliability for which the shipyard is famous.

The interior furnishings and the décor of the "Sofico" feature elegant, linear Art Déco motifs. The focussed, modern, style of the vessel's forms is combined with a masterful use of multiple materials that are combined in an admirably rational manner, such as the parquet flooring interspersed with ample inlays of silk carpeting and found on all the decks.
Throughout the vessel, two varieties of precious woods, both with a polished finish, are mixed and matched: canaletto walnut is used in all the day zones set aside for guests, while light-hued, natural cherry wood was chosen for the cabins.
The functional, elegant lounge on the main deck leads to a covered well astern. The owner has furnished the conversation zone with refined couches upholstered in striped silk velvet by Fendi, as well as comfortable armchairs designed according to elegant geometries. The dining room holds a large ebony table finished in gold leaf, where guests to dine in full comfort and relaxation. Framing the setting is a large bookcase lined with crocodile skin and a decorative panel done in the tradition of the finest Futurist art.

"Sofico" reprises some of the features most admired by CRN shipowners everywhere, such as the Technogym workout room and the sauna in the stern portion of the lower deck, plus a fitness and wellness area connected directly to the sea, thanks to a stern hatch that can be transformed into a beach platform which lowers itself practically flush with the water. The classic balcony of the owner's suite is outfitted with comfortable armchairs and a coffee table, making it an ideal site for an exclusive breakfast at sea, even when the ship is underway.
