La storia di CRN

1963-1999 CRN: technology, luxury, prestige
The history of CRN is a story full of successes, which have been accumulating right from the beginning. Set up by Sanzio Nicolini in 1963, the shipyard immediately established itself in a market which targeted a very select clientele. This has been the guiding principle behind CRN right from the outset and has earned it a position among the top world builders of luxury mega yachts.
The first "line" of 23 metre hulls known as "Super Conero" was built, followed by even larger and more prestigious boats, made in association with designers who will help to establish the shipyard internationally.
1999-2002 The goal: CRN becomes part of Ferretti Group
CRN became part of Ferretti group in 1999. The first step of the agreement between these two giants has been the project entitled "Magnifica", a splendid mega yacht of 43 metres launched in 2001, first hull of a very successful line. The shipyard in Ancona continues its expansion in 2001 by joining forces with Custom Line, a company bought in 1996 by Ferretti group, specialising in the production of maxi yachts in composite material from 26 to 34 metres. Today CRN shipyard is one of the world leaders in the construction of mega yachts in steel and aluminium and maxi yachts in composite.
2002-Now: In Ancona one of the most prestigious European Shipyard
CRN broke prestigious new ground in 2003 by buying the neighbouring Mario Morini shipyard. This acquisition has led to the Italian shipyard becoming one of the most important producers of mega-yachts in Europe. This has been a trampoline to acquire the technology and production facilities necessary to give weight to CRN’s presence in the steel and aluminium mega yacht market.
